A focus on efficiency
Acuity’s goal is to offer streamlined, comprehensive services, that keep costs down. Dr. Micklewright has spent years refining her methods to minimize client wait times, paperwork, and redundancy. Without compromising on quality, most of the evaluations at Acuity can be conducted in only 2-3 hours of your time, compared to the 6 - 8 hours that may be required at other clinics.
What To Expect
Interview
We begin with a discussion about your questions, concerns, and how your symptoms are affecting your daily life. We use this information to design a testing session that provides answers.
Testing
Dr. Micklewright will explain how to do all of the puzzles, brain games, and activities, as she administers them to you in a comfortable office (or virtually). The testing session is interactive and may last up to a couple of hours.
Share Results
Test results will provide clarity about the cause of your symptoms and to move forward. Typically results are available 1 - 2 weeks after testing, sometimes they can even be provided on the day of testing.
Plan with Purpose
You will receive a detailed report that pulls everything together and gives you a plan of action. It can be just for you, or you can share it with your family, school, or medical team.
Evaluation Formats Offered
-
In person & virtual options. Do it all in one day or split it up over 2 visits.
Each evaluation option below includes a rough estimate of the typical amount of time required of patients and fees.
Evaluations are tailored to you, so not every person will have the same experience.
While you may request or prefer a specific type of evaluation, the interview may tell us that a more comprehensive evaluation is required.
If a more in-depth testing is needed, Dr. Micklewright will let you know as early as possible and will educate you on the rationale for the recommendation and any associated changes in appt. length/fees.
-
Expert Consultation, $375. No obligation to do testing.
The goal of this 60-75 min consult is to learn about your symptoms and concerns. Dr. Micklewright can often identify and educate you on “quick fixes” that may address your problem without testing (e.g., referral to another specialist, treatment/therapy options, lifestyle changes). Acuity retains these records, which will save time if you decide to return for testing in the future.
