Cognitive Rehabilitation for Memory Loss, Dementia, Brain Injury or Stroke

Cognitive rehabilitation is an option for clients who have been diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment, Mild Neurocognitive Disorder, or Dementia, or those who have had a brain injury or stroke or other medical condition that can affect thinking abilities. 45-minute, weekly sessions can be conducted individually, or with the client and their support-partner. 

The goal of cognitive rehabilitation is to help the client (and family) learn how to build effective routines, organizational, and compensatory strategies, to optimize independence in daily life.  Services are customized to client’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses, lifestyle and goals, and based on the underlying condition (e.g., brain injury, Alzheimer’s dementia, Vascular dementia, FTD, aphasia, brain injury, stroke, MS, cancer, etc.).
